You are not a body with a spirit inside of it;
Rather you are a spirit wearing many different bodies.

Why do bad things happen to good people? If someone who is good and kind lives his/her life in poverty, pain and suffering, is that fair?  Is it right that a child is murdered or dies young?  That a young person who has so much to live for is killed in a car accident by a drunk driver?

Think in terms of not one life, but hundreds -- each life tipping the scales of justice one way or the other; for every injustice you do, you pay in another life -- for every injustice done to you -- the person who caused that injustice will pay -- in a future life.  If you take a life, you will pay for it.  It doesn't matter how long you spend in prison, how repentant you are, or what religion you decide to convert to.  You owe that person a life and you will pay for it.  You never get away with any wrong-doing.   "An eye for an eye" is karma. 

Karma is the doctrine of inevitable consequence 
You do reap what you sow

That is not to say that everyone who dies early or is murdered is paying back karma.  Another soul can interfere with your life by creating karma for themselves.  However, if a young person or child loses his or her life early this time -- it will be returned to him or her with a long happy life in the future.  And the person who caused them to lose their live will owe them a life in the future. 

However, you can forgive that person with grace.  If someone owes you a karmic life debt (he took your life in a prior lifetime), instead of you taking his life in a future lifetime, you can forgive him in grace.  Simply say "I forgive you" and truly mean it.  Then the debt is repaid not as "eye for an eye" but in a kinder way.  Taking care of you in a future life when you are in need.  The doctor who saves the life of his patient, the mother who cares for a disabled or helpless child, an organ donor, etc.

Through karmic debts and pay backs, all souls grow -- from infant to old -- just as we do in life. They incur lots of karma in their first lives -- learning from experience. In later lives, the karmic debt begins to get paid back.  The scales come into balance.  They become teachers and healers, helping younger souls through their lives.  They become examples to us all.

Connecting with your Past Lives

Even though you don't remember your past lives as I do, you just might remember more than you think.  Do you have a fear of drowning but have never been close to drowning in this life?  Do you live in the desert but still fear water?  Then you probably died by drowning in a prior life.  This is past life bleed-through -- where the events of a prior life have carried over into this life.

This bleed through can manifest itself in different ways.  For example, all my life I've had problems with my neck.  Pain on the left side all the time and also at my nape.  I also cannot wear anything around my neck that is even slightly tight.  This is bleed-through from three different lives: one from being hung at Salem, another hanging in the 15th century, and still another from being murdered with an axe blow to the back of my neck in a Native American past life. 

A bleed-through can also manifest in interest.  For example, if you are fascinated by the Civil War, then you probably had a part in it.  The stronger your interest, the larger your part in it was.  A soldier who died on the battlefield would have a passing interest -- a slight pull toward the subject -- while a general or someone who was more important to the war would have an strong interest, perhaps an obsession with it.  Collecting and reading all about that war.  I died in that war, but only have a small pull to it -- I remember dying on a bridge and as I died, I saw all the dead soldiers around me and felt immeasurably sad -- not about my own death, but the loss of all of the young lives around me.  When I watched the movie "Cold Mountain" I was struck by that feeling.  Whomever wrote the book or screenplay definitely had a Civil War bleed-through because he got the feeling exactly right.

A word about Death -- I've seen my death many times and felt myself cross over.  There is absolutely nothing to fear.  You remember no pain or suffering -- you cross over to pure and unconditional love.  No matter what you've done in this life.  Let me repeat that -- no matter what you've done.  Even Hitler was welcomed by the other side.  Of course, he would have life time after life time of Karmic payback before he healed his soul, but he would still be welcomed.  I know one soul who was very evil in her past and centuries later, she is still trying to pay back all the karma she owes.  Her life is not a happy one, but she understands that she must go through it to move forward.

Once a soul becomes one with the frequency of love and light, it attracts entities with those frequencies to itself.  It will become impossible for that soul to go back to the dark side.
