Earth Bound Spirits or Ghosts

Sometimes when a person dies traumatically, they become Earth bound -- unable or unwilling to cross over and eventually reincarnate in order to continue on their karmic path. Some refuse to admit they are even dead and see things as they were when they were alive. Change is a nightmare for them. They see the living as interlopers in their house -- since time doesn't exist for them, they don't feel the passage of the years (even centuries) and can become trapped. Some are terrified of crossing over -- fearing repercussions. One soul I helped cross over had killed his daughter and her lover many centuries ago. He had remained Earth bound for such a long time because of his fear. In order to cross him over and set him on his karmic path once more, I gave him a Water Dragon as a protector. He felt safe with his personal Dragon protector and finally crossed over and was freed. Other Earth bound spirits are those who have chosen to stay -- usually to watch over a relative or to protect a place (for example, monks who stay in a monastery to watch over it). There is a difference between a spirit who is Earth-bound and a relative who pops in every once in a while to check on the family left behind. An Earth-bound spirit is always there. Since everything has a soul, animals can also be spirits. Usually it is a pet that has returned to you, or perhaps the pet of a resident ghost who still faithfully follows his master.

	For several years, I had two cats -- one living and one in spirit. To the right is a picture of Sammy Jo with Aphaedra floating next to her. Although I saw Aphaedra as a dark cat shaped shadow, the camera picked her up as an orb. In 2006 Sammy Jo died, so now I have two spirit cats. At night, my spirit cats often jump on the bed and rub against my legs, purring loudly. I can feel their love all around me -- something that even death cannot take away.

There is also something called "residual energy" -- this is not a spirit but a moment caught in time -- like the loop in a video tape. The same action repeats over and over. A ghostly lady walks the same hallway as she did when she was living. A knocking on a door at the same time every night. These are examples of residual hauntings. There is no interaction with the living and this isn't a spirit or ghost at all. Just a memory forever frozen in time. Remember, Earth bound spirits cannot physically harm you -- most are afraid and confused more than anything else. So if you have a ghost, don't be alarmed. They are just sharing your home with you -- with the added bonus that they don't actually take up physical space. Let them know that you are willing to share your home and they might even help you along the way.


Do you live in a haunted house?

I have taken earth-bound spirits or ghosts out of homes several times before -- either by crossing them over or by taking them into my own home (if they are not ready to cross over).


I currently have four Earth-bound spirits living with me :

Nee The first is a spirit that I picked up when I was in the hospital several years ago. This spirit was a stillborn baby who had become trapped in the hospital. He was terrified and alone. He entered my knee while I was psychically unprotected due to the anesthesia. His fear and terror caused me a great deal of pain, even more than the surgery itself. However, because of the pain, I could not sense the spirit; I thought I had somehow hurt my knee. The doctor suggested more surgery and scheduled an MRI. I really didn't want even more surgery, more hospital time, so I asked my angels and guides for guidance. On the day of my appointment, I drove up to the clinic for the MRI, and as I got to it, I saw fire trucks and lots of people standing outside the building. There had been a funny odor in the MRI imaging room and the staff had called the fire department. But when the fire department arrived, they couldn't find any odor and were beginning to let people back in. I was just beginning to fill out the paperwork, when the technician came rushing out and said they were canceling all appointments because the odor was back. As I left to leave, the receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. "No. I've been given a sign that the MRI is not necessary." Of course, she didn't understand, but I did. I had asked for guidance and I got it. The MRI and more surgery was not the path to healing my knee. Realizing that this was psychic pain and not physical pain, I went to my psychic friend, Carol, to help me contact the entity. After assuring the entity that he would be given a safe home, we carefully brought the fragile spirit of the child out of my knee. I could now see him clearly -- a tiny little ball of golden energy -- and I put him into my heart chakra until I could get home.

	When I got home, I took one of the small glass jars that I use for my gemstone beads and put a small piece of amber in it (for strength and transformation) and a rose quartz bead (for love) and the entity went into his new home. I named him Nee because of his temporary residence in my knee.

Through the years, Nee has grown strong. He is no longer a tiny, primitive spirit but a well-developed spirit entity. One day he will be strong enough to cross over and reincarnate into a new life. And I pray it will be a long, long life to make up for his very, very short one.

Seth Seth was haunting a home in the California Bay Area. He was interfering with the electrical appliances and causing uncomfortable feelings in the homeowner. With my friend Carol in the home in person and me on the phone from Arizona, we began to bless the house and seal it against negativity. However, when she reached one wall in the dining room, she could psychically see the wall oozing with black goo. The homeowner began to feel ice cold. Both Carol and I sensed a spirit entity in the wall -- full of fear and anger. Using crystals to focus our energy, I called out to the spirit, offering it a peaceful existence in my own home. With the help of my angels and guides, Seth came to me through the crystals. After Seth crossed into my home, the homeowner began to warm up. And since Seth left her home, there have been no more problems with the electricity or any more feelings of discomfort. Seth died when he was 14 during the Spanish conquest of California. He was a Spanish soldier. He now lives in a large piece of Rose Quartz -- but only as a base -- not a prison. He is free to come and go as he likes. He has found peace and happiness in my home and has never caused me any problems at all.

Dancing Antelope Dancing Antelope is a Native American who was trapped in San Francisco. He died during the conquest of California by the Spanish (but a different time period from Seth) and was trapped on the land he died on -- which was now a house. The owner of the house often wore a gold cross necklace. Dancing Antelope saw the cross as a symbol of those who killed him. The necklace kept getting misplaced and being sensitive herself, the lady became physically ill because of the negative vibrations of fear that Dancing Antelope was emitting. Again, I called in Carol who tried to reach him but he saw her as a "evil white man" and refused to go near her -- instead, he cowered in the furthest corner of the room. Using my Native American Shaman guide River Laughs as a go-between instead of Carol, I offered Dancing Antelope a home free from Christian symbolism with the added bonus of living on Native American land. He jumped at the offer and moved instantly into my home. The home owner was freed from her illnesses and the oppression of her home. Dancing Antelope now lives happily in my home and has become an apprentice to River Laughs -- and helps me just as my other guides do. I am fortunate to have found him.


Galeb Galeb is also from San Francisco. He was trapped in the basement of a San Francisco home which was the bedroom of a young girl of 12. She could see him; however, neither Carol nor I had access to the house because the girl's parents were non-believers. However, I felt a need to rescue him -- and this came from Anubis who never involves himself in this kind of work. He is my protector but doesn't act as a guide like my other guides or angels do. I asked Carol to "see" the house in her mind (since she had physically been to the home) and together we pulled Galeb from the home and safely into my home. I asked Seth to guide him and now the two spirits live side by side in their individual pieces of Rose Quartz. Galeb was a young man of 25 when he died in the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. The house he was haunting had been built over the place that he died. In a past life, he was one of Anubis' priests which explains his interest in Galeb.
