Ghosts and Spirits

by Lin

What are ghosts? People. Ghosts are merely people without their bodies. Some are relatives that are checking in on their family; some are attached to a certain place or house and have decided to stay past the end of their mortal lifetime; some are lost souls - usually people who have died sudden and/or violent deaths, have taken their own lives, or have some traumatic event holding them to this plane of existence, such as a mother looking for her child.

My house is a way station for ghosts and spirits; therefore, I always have several ghosts living with me. My home is a healing place for them and many of my ghosts are victims of murder, suicides or just lost souls. Under the care of the Angel Zlar, they heal and eventually cross over with his help. Some of them have elected to stay permanently and become my helpers. Since most of my ghosts are in a healing process, they are fairly dormant and I rarely sense them.

These are the ghosts who are currently living with me:

This is a family of ghosts who are in charge of the spiritual waystation. They welcome new spirits and keep a spiritual home for them. When they were alive, they were the owners and keepers of a waystation for travelers going to California.

Seth is the matriarch and married to Martha. He was born in 1840 and died in 1885 at the age of 45 - killed with a gunshot to the heart by thieves. He married Martha in 1840 at the age of 27, finally putting down roots after traveling over much of the United States. Martha is his wife, born in 1850 and married at the age of 15. She never remarried after her husband's death, but kept working the waystation with the help of her children and hired hands. She died in 1894 at the age of 44 of illness. She fills my home with the smell of fresh brewed coffee in the mornings.

Michael and Michaela are their children, named after Martha's father. Michaela was born in 1869 and died 13 years later of a fever illness. Michael was born in 1873 and died in 1924 at the age of 51 of illness.

Mary

Mary was born in 1848 and was a painter living in Los Angeles. She lived in a small white adobe home with colorful tiles around the doorway and window sills. She was 77 when she was murdered by a thief in 1925. She showed me her story in a lucid dream, as vivid as if I were really there.  The young man broke into her little home and killed her in her studio with a knife.  I saw the white walls smeared with her blood.  As the man left through the window, he left a bloody hand print which led to his capture.  Mary has long white hair and a loving, maternal manner. She always takes care of the children ghosts who come my way. She is one of my permanent ghosts.

Caleb

Caleb came to me in 2006 and was my TV buddy. He watched television with me, sitting on the couch across from my chair and his favorite show was "Ghost Hunters." In 2011, my spiritual sister came to visit and asked me if I realized who Caleb really was. She told me that Caleb was really James Dean. He had used the name of his character in East of Eden, which is my favorite James Dean movie, because he didn't think I would believe that he was the famous actor. And I admit, I was skeptical. But after that, instead of a white robed ghost sitting on the couch, I would see James Dean, red windbreaker and all. He is one of my soul group and we've had 35 past lives together.  He crossed over in late 2011 and I still miss watching TV with him.

John and Howard

John and Howard were best of friends and both worked as dealers in one of the old casinos in Las Vegas. I pulled John from a haunted home while watching "Ghost Adventures" - he was haunting the home they were investigating. John was born in 1920 and died in 1953 at the age of 33. He was caught stealing chips from the casino.  He was killed in the home, then his body was dumped in the desert never to be found. Howard was his friend and although he had an idea what had happened to John, he never knew for certain and kept quiet. He was born in 1922 and died in 1956 at the age of 34 after falling and drowning in his bathtub. The two are happy to be reunited and will cross as soon as they are healed enough.

Henry

Henry is a sad story. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1917 and became a car salesman. He had three children; the youngest was a little girl whom he adored. One day, when she was six, he backed out his car and ran over her, never seeing that she was behind the car. He is filled with grief and guilt and cannot cross over because of this. He died in 1975 at the age of 58 of a heart attack, although he says it was because of a broken heart that will never heal.

Ernesto, Concepcion and Jeremy

Ernesto was a farm worker from Mexico who moved to California and became a naturalized citizen. He was born in 1927 and married Concepcion in 1962. He was 35 to her 15 years of age, but it was a marriage of love and respect. They had three children who are still living. Ernesto was murdered in 1972 in a lonely field for the few dollars he was carrying. He was buried in the field and his body was found years later, but never identified. Concepcion was born and raised in California and married Ernesto out of love. After his death, she married his best friend, Jeremy, to give her children a home. Jeremy adopted the children. Not wanting to stay in the fields after Ernesto's murder, they moved to San Jose and started a landscaping business. Concepcion died in 2007 at the age of 50. Jeremy was born in 1952 and died in 2011 at the age of 54. They are happy to be reunited.

Ernesto is my helper and I often see him looking after the garden - I don't see him as a ghost, but as a solid person. He also helps my gardener - showing him the plants that need help. He uses sparkling lights to attract my gardener's attention to a certain plant. He appears as a small man, dressed in white cotton clothes, holding his straw hat in his hands. He is very polite and gentle.

The Children

Over the years, I have had several children come to me. My longest resident ghost is Neil, who attached himself to me when I was in the hospital in 2002. He was only one day old when he died and his soul was lost until he found me. After a lot of healing, he now appears to me as a young boy, around the age of 5. I'm not sure that he will ever leave me, but that's okay. All of my resident ghosts are free to leave or stay as they wish. The other child ghost who is living with me is Stan, currently under the care of Mary. Stan is from Milwaukee and died of leukemia in 1966 at the age of 8.  All the other children that have come to me have crossed over.

Johann

Johann is my most active ghost. I can hear his footsteps when he approaches me and he makes things fall over when he wants my attention. He taps the shoulders of visitors.  He is also one of my soul group and we have had 8 past lives together. I knew him when he was alive, when were we both teenagers.  He was named Jose then.  His most recent dates are 1945 to 1973.  I left his city in 1971 and never saw him again. He was killed by gunshot over a woman at the age of 28. He was my husband in a prior lifetime, named Johann, which is the reason he prefers that name.  Johann has black hair and green eyes.

Jeffrey

Like Mary, Jeffrey told me his story in a lucid dream. He is from Las Vegas (born 1972) and installed lights in nightclubs for a living. In my dream, he installed a light on the ceiling that filled my room with different colors lights. It was beautiful but I'm glad he didn't install it for real. He was accidently electrocuted in 1999 at the age of 27.  His hair alternates between spikey coal black hair and dark brown long hair tied at the nape of his neck (he wore it both ways when he was alive).  He is a handsome young man with fair skin and blue eyes.

There are also dark spirits -- ghosts who are so lost in their pain and misery that they can lash out at the living. If they can gather enough energy, they can manipulate the physical plane -- and move things, throw things or even push a person. They are not evil just sad and lost.  One of my permanent ghosts is a Native American young man who was terrified and caused the homeowner sickness and a sense of dread.  It took me a while to convince him to come to my home, but with the help of my shaman guides and angels, he finally came over.  The homeowner felt her home lighten and she no longer got sick when she was in it.  After a year, he decided never to leave me and became one of my shaman guides.  His name is Dancing Antelope.

Filomena

Filomena came to me from a friend's house. Her 8 year old daughter kept talking to a lady ghost who was always sad. With the help of Zlar and Mary, I pulled her over to my house so she can heal and then cross over. She is a lovely lady, small with long dark hair streaked with gray, an Italian immigrant who died in the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. She was 58 when she died. More than anything she loved her family and loved to cook for them. She had five children and 12 grandchildren and refused to cross over because she was looking for her family, all of whom survived the earthquake. She now realizes that her family has crossed over and is waiting for her on the other side. I'm sure that she won't be with me very long.

Mildred

Mildred was haunting a home in Canada. She was a fearful, frightened ghost and that energy can make the home owner feel very uncomfortable. She is young, only 19 when she died in 1923. Her infant child died of SIDs and she feels a lot of guilt over the death. She feels that she was not a good mother. It didn't help that her husband blamed her for the baby's death also. She took sleeping pills to stop the pain and never woke up. She is very pretty with light brown hair and green eyes. Her hair is short, cut in the fashionable "bob" of that time era.

Ghosts do not frighten me at all -- and I've had a child ghost who was afraid of storms come into bed with me. I sense them around me and they give me a feeling of comfort, not fear.

There are different types of haunting -- residual hauntings are merely pieces of time caught in a loop -- the ghost will walk the same path over and over without acknowledging the living person. This is not truly a ghost but a time loop.

They each have a piece of rose quartz of their own. I use rose quartz because it vibrates to the frequency of love and healing. The stone is not a prison and they can come and go as they please -- it is just a base for them to use. I keep the stones in a small cabinet on my living room wall (it is meant for golf ball display, but it is the perfect size).  A little name tag reminds me which spirit is living in which piece of rose quartz.  And, yes, they are picky about their neighbors.

If you have a spirit or ghost and would like to know about them, please email me at lin@linsdomain.com for a free reading. The reading will take 10-15 minutes via a phone call (Int'l callers will have to use their phone) and I will contact you with a time and date for the reading. Lucia

Lucia is a young girl around 8 years old, of Mexican ancestry, playing on the bank of a river in a white sundress. This is her last memory of life since she drowned in the river shortly afterward. She is from Texas and the homeowners asked for help with her. With the help of Zlar and Mary, she is now at my house healing until she is ready to cross over.
